Form cues
Stand tall with core tight before starting each step
Lift one heel to your glutes and grip your ankle
Squeeze your glute as you hold to intensify the hip flexor component
Step forward to release and immediately repeat on the other leg
Maintain an upright torso throughout — do not lean forward
Instructions
Step-by-step technique
Stand tall with your feet together and arms hanging naturally at your sides.
Tighten your abdominals to stabilize your torso and maintain good posture.
Lift your right foot toward your right glute, gripping the ankle with your right hand.
Squeeze your right glute and hold the stretch briefly.
Step forward onto your right foot to release the stretch.
Immediately lift your left foot toward your left glute, gripping the ankle with your left hand.
Squeeze your left glute and hold briefly.
Continue walking forward, alternating legs with each step.
