Maintain a rigid plank line from head to heels throughout
Lower your chest between your hands — not past them
Press evenly through both palms on the way up
Instructions
Step-by-step technique
Start in a standard push-up position with hands slightly wider than shoulder-width.
Walk your hands further out so they are noticeably wider than your shoulders.
Brace your core and maintain a straight plank line from head to heels.
Lower your chest toward the floor by bending your elbows — allow them to flare slightly outward.
Descend until your chest nearly touches the floor between your hands.
Press through your palms to push yourself back up to the starting position.
Fully extend your arms at the top.
Repeat for the desired number of reps.
