Stand in a staggered stance, one foot forward, for stability
Keep upper arms close to your head with elbows pointing forward
Extend your arms fully overhead — squeeze your triceps at the top
Resist your partner's pull on the way down — the eccentric counts
Keep your core braced and avoid arching your lower back

Step-by-step technique

Stand facing away from your partner, each holding the handles of a crossed resistance tube.

Raise your arms overhead with elbows bent — the band stretches down behind your head.

Take a staggered stance, one foot forward, for stability.

Keep your upper arms close to your head, elbows pointing forward.

Extend your arms fully upward by straightening your elbows — squeeze your triceps at the top.

Lower your hands back behind your head with control — your partner provides resistance.

Continue for all reps, then switch roles with your partner.

Keep your core braced and avoid arching your lower back throughout.
