Both partners face each other, each holding opposite handles of crossed tubing
Stand tall with core braced and knees slightly bent throughout
Drive elbows back to row — squeeze your shoulder blades together at the end
Resist the pull from your partner on the way forward — the eccentric matters
Keep your feet planted and hips square at all times
Instructions
Step-by-step technique
Stand facing your partner, each holding opposite handles of a crossed resistance tube.
Hold the handles with a neutral grip and step back until there is light tension in the tubing.
Both partners stand tall with core braced and knees slightly bent.
Partner A pulls the handles back by driving elbows behind the torso, squeezing the shoulder blades together.
As Partner A rows, Partner B resists — providing tension as the tubes extend.
Partner A returns the handles forward with control while Partner B initiates their row.
Continue in an alternating rhythm, with each partner rowing and resisting in turn.
Keep your feet planted and hips square throughout.
